Knowing that I came from a community where girls are not given an option of going to school, in fact excludes girls from seeking education. Now that I am one of those girls but lucky enough to go to school. I am planning to establish a project titled “Fair Fight for Women Health" focusing on small communities. for instance, today, maternal mortality and child health are two big issues in Chad, Africa. Pregnant women often travel hundreds of miles to reach the nearest medical facilities for the purpose of giving birth and 1 in every 15 women die as a result of complications of giving birth. Our vision- Our first priority is to build a small clinic in villages to ease women and children access to healthcare services, especially during their journey of pregnancy. This project is aimed to give women and children in villages the minimum access to healthcare services.
being raised in a household, knowing that I am a first-generation college student has always reminded me of how lucky I am to have an opportunity to go school especially the fact that, I came from a community where girls are not given an option of going to school, in fact excludes girls from seeking education. I had always understood the value of education and women health even when I was young, and I still believe in education and human health. One important thing that my parents did for me and my siblings was to do everything within their means to instill the love of learning and an understanding of the importance of hard work. They taught us to be steadfast early in our lives. It is empowering to see our parents fight for us to have better lives even though they did not have an opportunity to go to school, as a result, they ended up facing a lot of challenges in their personal and professional lives. Consequently, I am delighted to have the opportunity to give back to those in need to make the world a better place for others as well, especially rural areas in chad.
